First Post of 2008

It has been just under a year since my previous post, so I'm going to try to make a better effort to check in more often.  So yeah, 2008 has been just as if not more of a hectic year than 2007.  Shayla and I were lucky enough to have our first little girl, Isabel Ann, on June 17th.  She is our everything and obviously receives most of our time and energy these days.  I honestly cannot believe she's going to be four months old, but I guess all of those things that my parents used to say to me are starting to come true.  "They grow up so fast" is the first one that comes to mind.  It seems like just yesterday we brought Isabel (we call her Izzy) home from the hospital, but now she's rolling around and trying to crawl!  Time does fly and there isn't much you can do about it.  Here's a cute picture of my little girl at the Columbus Crew soccer game back in September:

More good news:  Marty, Julie and Kayley moved from Chicago to Indianapolis (Castleton area).  Who is Kayley?  Oh yeah, Kayley Marie is my niece that was born on March 27th.  Also, Marty and Julie gave me the honor of being her Godfather.  It is nice to have them much closer to us.  Plus when we go visit them we don't have to worry about the parking fiasco that we had to deal with in Chicago.

Things are great here and I'm just keeping busy and enjoying Izzy while she's still so little!
